North Somerset rapid testing

Our mobile rapid testing van service has now ended.

Thank you to everyone who help run the service and everyone who visited the vans to collect test kits or have a test processed.

You can find the latest information about testing for coronavirus (Covid-19) on the NHS website

Rapid or lateral flow testing if for people without symptoms of Covid-19.

The Government will no longer provide free universal symptomatic and asymptomatic testing for the general public in England after Friday 1 April.

From 1 April, there will be some limited ongoing free testing:

  • Limited symptomatic testing available for a small number of at-risk groups - the Government will set out further details on which groups will be eligible.
  • Free symptomatic testing will remain available to social care staff

Until then you can orderCovid-19 test kits online on the GOV.UK website

You can also pick up test kits from some pharmacies. Check the NHS lateral flow collection map for more information.

Getting a test kit from a pharmacy

You can get a collect code to pick up a home testing kit from a pharmacy.

You can get your code through the coronavirus testing website or by calling 119.

Your collect code will be sent to you by email or text and will help the NHS match your details to the tests.

If you have Covid-19 symptoms

Rapid testing is only for people who have no Covid-19 symptoms.

If you have symptoms of Covid-19 - a high temperature, a new and persistent cough, or loss or change in sense of taste or smell -  you should book a free test on the GOV.UK website or by calling 119.
