The Newgene test kit contains 6 components:
- Test Device (Sealed in a foil pouch)
- Extraction buffer tube and dripper
- Disposable swabs (In sterile packing)
- Waste bag
- Dropper
- Paper cup
Nasal swab method
Saliva sample method
Make sure your throat and mouth are clean before starting. Take a few deep coughs and spit your saliva into the paper cup provided. Use the dropper to take the saliva sample from the cup, until the dropper is at least half full. Then, drop 3 drops of the sample liquid into the extraction tube containing the buffer and mix it well by squeezing the bottom of the tube. Once mixed, add 3 drops of the sample solution to the sample well, ensuring that there are no air bubbles. The sample will start moving up the device membrane. After 15 minutes, the result will be ready.
